Kieran Wallace, Special Liquidator – Another Dirty Fighter Creaming Money From The Inner Circle
I have been watching CIC website for some time and trying to assess the personalities involved in the Quinn case. It was interesting to read last week's article on Paul Gallagher who ripped off the taxpayer by 150,801 euro in severance pay. This was in spite of Brian Hayes' statement that those taking the severance pay “Represent a rogues' gallery of those who have brought financial ruin upon our country”. This certainly applies to the former Attorney General who was advising the Government at the time of the bank guarantee. So much for the obvious greed of the country's best paid barrister!
Back to Kieran Wallace! Where does he figure? Possibly on a par with Mr. Gallagher. Apparently he was mooching around the Quinn Group since 2009- two years before the take-over. Once KPMG became involved in the Quinn Group, Wallace could smell money and power. As a Senior Liquidator he knew that the job would fall to him so he worked tirelessly to ensure the Group was put into liquidation and he succeeded. (He is also liquidator of IBRC now—another well-heeled job).
However his most treacherous act in recent times was going to court, on the word of unidentified informants, claiming that the Quinn family had 200,000 of money and 300,000 of gold without any proof or evidence. Where is it, Kieran?
I believe battles should be fought cleanly and unreservedly in court-- not by sensationalism in the media but that is what Mr. Wallace went for and of course the Irish media obliged as required. Shame on Kieran Wallace for resorting to this despicable tactic and shame on the system that allows him to do so.
Where is the rent roll and profits from all the properties managed by IBRC? How much has the perceived debt been reduced?
Where does fair play come in Mr. Wallace's book? Is he, like Mr. Gallagher, motivated by avarice or by malevolence?
Saint or Sinner? You decide!
