The family of businessman Sean Quinn say they are amazed by Anglo’s claims that two billion euro in loans given to them were lawful.
The Supreme Court was urged by IBRC – formerly Anglo – yesterday to hear an appeal aimed at preventing litigation by the Quinns over their claims.
According to today’s Irish Independent, the Quinn family say “another arm of the state” has brought proceedings against three former Anglo executives alleging they weren’t lawful. According to the paper, lawyers for IBRC told the Supreme Court yesterday that the appeal was of ‘singular urgency.’
