We are truly
shocked and outraged at this action which is the continuation of a calculated
and sinister plan to ensure we will not be in a position to regain control of
our businesses once the issue of Anglo’s multiple breaches of EU and Irish Law
is finally heard before the Courts.
This move marks a
new low, even by Anglo’s standards and they continue to do everything in their
power to delay, frustrate and hamper the progression of our case through the
Courts.
The actions are
horrific in circumstances where the very legality of the takeover of our
companies is currently awaiting determination before the High Court.
It is truly
devastating that the company our father spent a lifetime building in the local
area has been divided up and distributed like spare parts. The company has been
given away to foreign Banks by Anglo who have no allegiance whatsoever to the
local economy, its future growth and sustainability.
This unnecessary
liquidation compounds the wrongs perpetrated by Anglo who continue to decimate
everything they touch while continuing to line the pockets of professional
advisors and foreign bondholders in the process.
We question how Anglo
can continue to act on loans that run entirely contrary to EU and Irish Law in
furtherance of an illegal and disastrous take over our companies on 14th
April 2011, the results of which continue to cause incalculable economic damage.
