Dear Ms Gilheany 

The Minister for Finance has asked me to refer to your email of 3 rd October 2012 on behalf of the Concerned Irish Citizens Group regarding the Anglo/Government strategy on Quinn.  The contents of your email have been noted. 

IBRC has been charged by the State with the task of recovering as much of the debt owed to the former Anglo Irish Bank and INBS as possible.  The Board of the bank is responsible for the day to day operations of the bank including all matters relating to Quinn.  As litigation is on-going it would be inappropriate for the Minister to comment further on this matter at present.
