CONCERNED IRISH CITIZENS MISSION STATEMENT.

CONCERNED IRISH CITIZENS DEMAND AN END TO;

1 THE WITCH HUNT AGAINST SEAN QUINN AND HIS FAMILY,

2 THE DECIMATION OF THE BORDER COUNTIES,

3 THE UNNECESSARY AND OUTRAGEOUS SQUANDERING OF BILLIONS OF EUROS OF TAXPAYERS MONEY

4 THE LOSS OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF JOBS (DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY) THAT IS CERTAIN TO FOLLOW, IF THE CURRENT STRATEGY BY ANGLO AND THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT STOPPED.

5 THE LACK OF COMPETITION IN SECTORS THAT QUINN WAS INVOLVED IN - WE ALREADY SEE WHAT HIS DEMISE HAS DONE TO INSURANCE CONSUMERS.

Concerned Irish Citizens call for justice, fairness and an end to the witch-hunt that is being orchestrated against Sean Quinn,, his family and the communities who have depended on the Quinn Group for decades. We want the Government to immediately put a stop to the unnecessary destruction of our livelihoods in the interests of foreign financial institutions and advisers, and the pointless waste of taxpayer's money by Anglo.

CONCERNED IRISH CITIZENS ARE NOW CALLING FOR A FULL INDEPENDENT INQUIRY INTO THE ACTIONS OF ALL STATE BODIES IN RELATION TO THE QUINN GROUP.

IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH TO BE TOLD ABOUT THIS FARCE, PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SUPPORT CALL FOR INDEPENDENT INQUIRY.

It is now clear that Anglo was effectively running and managing the Quinn account. So for all those who blamed Sean Quinn for gambling etc. the truth is that it was not Sean Quinn who was doing the gambling atall. It was Anglo.

This charade is getting more ludicrous by the day.Not only has Anglo squandered billions of euros of taxpayers money, destabilized the Quinn Group beyond recognition, it is quite clear that the Quinn Group was seized illegally from the Quinn Family, something that they will have to be compensated for.
THERE MUST BE A PUBLIC INQUIRY NOW.

Public Representatives, do what you were elected to do and in accordance with the constitution which states that the State's constant and predominant aim must be the welfare of the people as a whole.

The people of Ireland deserve to know what really happened in this unprecedented and farcical situation and they should not have to wait for years of legal actions which will add to the bill, to get the truth.

DEMAND A PUBLIC INQUIRY NOW AND STAND UP FOR THE PEOPLE IN YOUR CONSTITUENCIES.

The Quinn Group had over 8000 employees, many of them in the Cavan/Fermanagh region. Providing thousands of jobs to an area that is recorded as one of the most economically deprived in Ireland. It had a proven track record of expansion and profitability in the area. However, this company has now been taken over by accountants. A qualified profession it has to be said. But a profession that does not provide the skills to run a multinational conglomerate. Moreover, many of the new management team have ties with Anglo Irish bank in its glory days. When I say its glory days, I of course mean the days in which its questionable operating practices, have cost this state an estimated €29.3 billion.

So at this moment we are reliant on the newly placed management team without the prior experience required to run a company of this size. Any we are expected to believe they will do this is a proficient manner! So now the people of Cavan will instead have to be secure in the fact that the Irish government will provide jobs for the area. However, looking at their past performance in this area, there is reason to be worried. Over the past four years the IDA has provided an estimated 25,114 job in Ireland. However, the number of jobs created in Cavan over that same period stands a disheartening 110 jobs, which includes 70 jobs within a business operating in Cavan for over thirty years. In fact there has been a net loss of 49 jobs over the past 5 years. The IDA has cost the state €995,795,000 over the past five. So for an average cost of €248,948,800 the IDA manages to reduce the number of jobs Cavan by an average of 10 a year.

Therefore at this moment the people of the border region are in a precarious position. The state is unwilling or incapable to provide jobs to the area. They have now instated a management team who do not have the ability to run the Quinn group. The jobs that have been provided to the area are in serious jeopardy. And the government now seems to be focused on the witch hunt of the Quinn family. Spending vast amount of money on legal teams to ensure Sean Quinn cannot provide any jobs to the area for the longest possible time.

Very well said Seamus. It seems the government have their priorities completely wrong and are a group of morons who have forgotten what their job is. They have let a successful business be completely ambushed with absolutely no regard for the provision of employment of thousands. What will they say when these people are looking for employment in the years ahead? How will they disguise their stupidity and wrong-doings in this case, to the public? When will they admit that this has been a witch hunt from the start? WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?

The Government appointed a Public Interest Drector to the Board of Anglo to protect the interest of the Public. Now it seems that the new Anglo Board are up to the same antics as the last. Why did they persist at destroying the Quinn Group when they knew that the whole issue of loans to Quinn was only a cover story for their own attempts to prop up the share. If the current board knew this - and they must have because they took over the running of Anglo - yet still put a receiver into the Quinn Group then it is critical that they be held accountable. Where is the Public Interest Director? What has the current Anglo board to say for themselves now? Why have they spent millions following a "recovery" that they knew was flawed from the start? Who exactly agreed to this? What of the employees who have lost their jobs because the current Anglo Board did not come clean about what happened before?

The public interest representative is up to his eyes in it, yes, alan Dukes, i mean you. He is more guilty than the old boys, Fitzie andvDrumm, as he is involved in the cover up.

He was in charge of the bank when much of the false security documentation was put in place.
He was in charge when they asked the Quinn CHILDREN to sign documents stating that they got legal advise when he knew this was not true.
He was in charge when Richard woodhouse swore lies in the Belfast court a month ago.
He is in charge when vultures of consultants are feeding of Quinn Group, particularly his old buddies in the PR industry, which he still sits on the PR boards.

If this is what we get from public interest representatives, we are all in a lot of trouble.

I would like to add my support to the Sean Quinn family and their side of this "case".
Should you not be organising a petition to let the Dublin based media, judiciary and establishment know that they do not have all the support they think they have?
Thankfully Sean Quinn still has the muscle to stand up to the bullying banks and their fawning judiciary, unlike the majority of smaller businesses that they have been able to quickly bankrupt so as they cannot fight back.
All done with the aid of taxpayers money promised by an incompetent daft government and used by scavanging legal professionals. Everyone who bought a house or obtained a loan in the last 10 years has had their lives ruined by the greed and fraud perpetrated by banking/financial services industries.

In an attention deversion exercise in regards the main case involving IRBC and Quinn, Anglo are taking legal proceedings against their former auditors to try and shift the blame for Anglos reckless lending. This is purely a legal tactic by IRBC to try and strenghten their hopeless case against Quinn and the people of Ireland. On another note Is Bernard McNamara's UK bankruptcy going to be overturned? .How much does he and other developers owe this country???? Me thinks,
it is witchunt and MR Quinn is the number one scapegoat. WE are so blind!!!!!!
