"BORDER AREA BEWILDERED AND OUTRAGED BY LATEST DEVELOPMENTS AT AVENTAS- Tensions are rising and are said to be at boiling point in the Derrylin/Ballyconnell and catchment areas due to:

a  Delay in finalizing the QBRC deal. The deal was said to be done in June/July with a promise of completion in August. We are now in Oct. and there is no guarantee that it will be completed in the near future. Why? The former Management team made a commitment to come back to the company which they helped grow to unprecedented success, and they have been left in limbo for over 5 months. It is not good enough for those who have given up jobs to be left dangling and to be expected to wait indefinitely with no guarantee of completion. Is this not an abuse of their goodwill? Why is there such a long delay and is it a coincidence that it is dragged out so that Aventas would benefit from the profits of the two busiest months for the company ie Sept and Oct. while the prospect of QBRC taking over in the slowest months, makes it an uphill struggle from the start,

b  Given that the deal was done several months ago, why is the company being stripped of its assets in the intervening period? Is this not fraud? The latest advertisement (below) enraged locals and workers as the old cement plant was part of the assets being purchased by QBRC. Lorries and other machinery are also being disposed of on a weekly basis allegedly. Are the banks and bondholders being made aware of this?

c locals are in uproar about pollution lights which were installed at Aventas recently and regard these as an gross intrusion on their privacy and a display by the company of complete disregard for common decency and harmony in the community. CIC have also be informed about noise levels being unacceptable in the vicinity of the company and also the recent installation of thermal imaging.

WE APPEAL FOR CALM IN THE FACE OF SUCH ADVERSITY AND ASK EVERYONE TO BE MINDFUL OF THE FACT THAT THE QUINN FAMILY CASE AGAINST ANGLO IS GOING TO RUN, COME HELL OR HIGH WATER, AND DESPITE THE BEST ATTEMPTS OF ANGLO TO DELAY IT, IN JUST OVER 6 MONTHS TIME.   TO SAY THAT MANY WILL BE LEFT WITH EGG ON THEIR FACE AS A RESULT OF WHAT WILL TRANSPIRE IN THE CASE, IS THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY. THE QUINN FAMILY ARE STILL STANDING DESPITE A DAVID AN GOLLIATH BATTLE TO FLATTEN THEM, AND IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE ALL REMAIN CALM UNTIL JUSTICE IS DONE."

Its hard to believe the bondholders are not double dealing the qbrc bid. Surely if they were serious they would stop this overnight. Perhaps qbrc should walk away?

The only reason the bondholders are dealing at all is protect the valuable glass factory.
