“Misguided and self-interested” Paul O Brien.

It is interesting to see that Paul O Brien thinks he and some unnamed others have a business in the Derrylin area. He issued a statement about “Our business” and “our contingency plans”. As far as people in this area are concerned he is merely an incompetent caretaker sent in to run a business on behalf of others. He is doing that very badly and simply bleeding a very profitable company dry. Like the C.R.C. board he should do the honourable thing and resign. Not even his supposed loyal supporters would be sad.
People in the local area are amazed at his pretence at knowing how the community feel about issues; he has no contact with the community and very few even know him; many of the staff working in the Quinn Group have never even spoken to him or would recognise him if they met him out. Such a change from the previous owner and management!!
If he had any idea of the feeling in the area, he would have known about the sense of outrage and disgust at the sight of his bully boys using jack hammers and chisels to batter down logo from the Quinn Group headquarters--- on a Sunday morning as they returned from Church. Unfortunately for the community that reintroduced violence into the locality. Shame on him!
If O Brien looked at a national survey done on best known and most highly regarded companies in Ireland he would see that they were listed as:
1. Ryanair
2. Quinn
3. Dunnes
This was, of course, prior to his inefficiency in the company.
How long would it take for a new company with bad management to achieve that ranking? Never!

It is also notable that the lies still flow freely from him; the clinker roof was mended immediately (still not fixed) and now work continued uninterrupted after the lorry backed into the office!
People are not so “moronic”as to believe these fabrications...
