Is this the future for Quinn Group workers in Ireland. See what is planned for you by Paul O'Brien.
Former
Quinn Plastcis In France Closing
Friday at
5:00 am, 38 employees Polycasa held a picket outside the gates of the company
specializing in the manufacture of foamed plastic plates, the area of Monay.
Workers and managers had stopped working at Polycasa last
week when management had announced the relocation of their production site to Germany and they will be sending letters of
redundancy in mid-July.
Despite the shock, the employees had returned to work at
the request of unions (CGT, CFDT and under no label).
Friday Yet, it is these same unions who were at the head
of strikers before the closed gates of the company, disgusted by the proposals
for financial compensation management: €
2400 for a skilled worker with 7 years of seniority, only € 400 for workers
came there 3 years ... "We reject these proposals and require supra-legal
negotiations that hold the road," says Fabrizio Mastroianni (CGT).
Employees are awaiting the
results of the second accounting initiated by the Inter to understand why their
company whose order books are full relocates. New
major French clients as Castorama or Bricomarché therefore will achieve their
production beyond the Rhine.
Employees have blocked the
entrance to the factory every weekend, lest their machines (extrusion heads)
are removed on the sly. A bailiff
has already come see the working tool.
The
mayor of St. Eusebius (Alain Ballot), General Counsel (Jean-Yves Vernochet) and
MP (Christophe Sirugue) should meet on Saturday direction.
