It is very important to clarify that the proposal put forward by John McCartin, and his colleagues needs the support of all of us if it is to stand a fighting chance of getting a fair hearing. 

Already attempts have been made by Aventas to undermine it by saying that the trio had not provided evidence of how they were going to finance it. 

The reality is that Aventas have been asked to open their books to the buyers so that they can see exactly what they are buying as would be the norm in any transaction. 

If Aventas Management are serious about getting the best return for the bondholders and safeguarding the jobs, then there should be no difficulty in following normal procedure and providing the essential information in order that the bid can proceed appropriately. 

Concerned Irish Citizens appeal to Aventas Management to do the right thing by the Quinn Group employees and also their funders. The futures of thousands of families are at stake and it is no time for fudge or wordplay.
