Paul O'Brien Interview On NorthernSound

http://www.northernsound.ie/news/aventas-ceo-company-attack-could-have-killed-someone/

Today on NorthernSound, Paul O'Brien  was interviewed for the lunch time news and some of  his statements are very alarming  as he seems to be saying that while he continues to sell off divisions within the Quinn Group  jobs will still be secure. Paul how do guarantee this? Did you not say to the workers in Packaging "no strings attached to any sale".

While we agree  that whoever attacked Quinn Packaging last night was a reckless act this has given Paul O'Brien the  ammunition to  do what he now wants.

In who's interest was Quinn Packaging attacked and who are the people who could gain from such an attack.

We keep stressing that someone will get killed  if this continues and statements such as today from  Paul O'Brien are making things worst and not helping.

Paul what will happen the 150 jobs at HQ when you have all the divisions sold?

What will  happen the 200 plus drivers that you are trying to push over to CEVA?
Lagan doesn't want any drivers? How do you know the other divisions will need these drivers when you sell them off?

That's 350 people already gone right away?

Paul O'Brien then went on to say that his only interest  were the stakeholders. To the  local community and workers that means we all F... Off  as he has no interest in any of us. "We knew this already but thanks Paul for reminding us again so clearly".

Paul O'Brien went on to say that everything was normal at Quinn Group  and we were amazed to hear him say "that the Group had the same number of employees as 2011". What about the people you sacked and they took you to court and you had to pay out large sums of money? What about  the redundancy package  you offered and where you not inundated with staff wanting to get out? The lucky ones got out with a few pounds but now drivers are threatened with the sack with no redundancy or pension rights because you have no money left to pay them.

He also went on the say that "Aventas" was there for the long haul but how can that be if he is selling off divisions? Paul have you something lined up for yourself?

As the interview went on he sounded very angry and started to blame all the  different groups opposing the sale of Quinn Group and basically insinuated they were behind these attacks and spreading false information and frightening staff.  He was getting letters from GAA clubs etc all attacking him so he seems to think. All this pressure seemed to be getting to him from the tone of his voice during the interview. He was certainly angry. At the end of the interview it was clear he had no intention of dealing with QBRC. Listen to the interview and we welcome comments if you agree or disagree with our interpretation of this interview.

Once again we call for Paul O'Brien to be removed as he will get someone killed by his actions.

We welcome Paul O'Brien to an open public forum in the Slieve Russell where we can  put our questions directly to him. "So come on Paul lets see what you are really made off. If you are telling the truth then you have nothing to hide".

We ask once again who has the most to gain from the attack last night on Quinn Packaging?

o Berins uneducated ego is cashing cheques with money he never and could never earn. It's hard to believe such an unprofessional dunce is CEO is a group he knows nothing about. How could the bond guys be so foolish to have this hateful person carving out the Quinn group to his buddies.
