Workers in Aventas got no pay today; those on a weekly wage were told that owing “to unforeseen circumstances” there would be no pay in their accounts today. Families waiting to do the weekly shop must wait. Hungry children this weekend!

In over 30 years working for Sean Quinn this never happened. Is there no money in the bank? Has it all gone to management with their bonuses? Lucky for those on monthly pay, they haven’t been affected.

However is this more sinister than it appeared in the brief, uninformative email? Today was the day QBRC were to take over initially, according to the rumours, before O Brien and co. slowed everything down. Had they planned to leave us short a week’s pay? Were they going to blame QBRC for not paying us?

I would put nothing past them! QBRC beware!
