On-Going Saga At Glass Factory In Derrylin

We brought you news a few weeks ago about the  fraudulently behavior of Quinn Glass towards one of it's major customers Diageo. It now appears we underestimated the amount of bottles sent back  for recycling to Derrylin. The scale of returns was of the magnitude of 30 to 40 loads a day and this operation lasted for weeks. It was so large that Quinn Glass had to bring  in a  special crusher to help with breaking up this huge volume of bottles. An area at the side of the factory was sealed off from preying eyes with high security guarding it, trying desperately to hide the  scale of the returns.
To make matters worst they now have brought in private detectives to try and find out who reported the  fraud to Diegeo.
All orders for cullet (waste glass) are now on hold and this is  putting the businesses of 3rd parties glass cullet suppliers at risk.
Quinn Group has no suitable sand left  in the local quarries and they now have to buy in supplies every day to keep production on-going at the Glass factory.
