SWINDLER PAUL MAKES CHANGES AGAIN....

Another deceptive email from Paul O'Brien today. Changing the Group name to be followed by changes to the divisions, in an attempt to sell off businesses under other names!! After 3 years, this is the final act of treachery for the community and the staff. Some staff members are misled into believing that this is a good thing, but most of us see the future as very bleak, and know that the jobs will be gone in 12 months. Quinn Group, Kingspan and CRH are recognized national names of building products, but how long will it take a new name to be recognized? Aventas will ever match the high standards established by the Quinn name.

Lorry drivers watch out too. Yesterday's announcement, mentioned previously, about the lorry fleet means redundancies very soon and less pay immediately; foreign drivers for CEVA sleep in their lorries and are very happy with half the pay existing Quinn drivers get. Lorry drivers will soon be paid 50% less per load than at present. The long-standing relationship between drivers and customers will soon end. O'Brien hadn't the nerve to cut pay himself, but a new regime can easily be blamed.

Apparently, in the future, lorries will have to be ordered in advance, so a lorry needed in a hurry can no longer be supplied, and no local may look for a load urgently. A 2 minute drive for a lorry will now be a 2 hour drive. Quinn lorries will be sold off to show profits for the bondholders!

The garage staff, many of whom have been with the Group for decades, will soon be redundant as lorries will be serviced elsewhere. This is a further disgrace.

The answer to the question asked earlier in the week has now become apparent. The reason for the costly (around £50,000) movement of glass to storage before today was for fear of a blockade preventing the delivery of glass next week. This had to be forestalled.

That proves beyond any doubt that these recent announcements are a retrograde step for employees.

Where do we go from here??

Absolutely disgraceful. These companies should not be sold or names changed until the courts decide who are the rightful owners, until the courts decide no new owners will be welcome.
Paul O Brien on your million pound salary, you should be ashamed of yourself, destroying companies, jobs and communities . You are robbing a company of money for a salary when you do not even attend the offices to work. You should be ashamed of yourself.
