THIS ARTICLE RELATES CLOSELY TO THE POST UNDERNEATH ENTITLED "QBRC-Return of the old hands ". Read also comments underneath that post, which provide details of Strike Action in Elton and the serious concerns of Glass workers in Derrylin for their jobs.
The decision by Aventas Management and the company charged with the sale of the company, to sell to QBRC was a no brainer but was nevertheless a courageous one. There is a palpable sense of relief in our communities for the first time in three years and four months, since that fateful day in April 2011 when Anglo seized the Quinn Group in a despicable manner, based on what we now know was money advanced "illegally" by Anglo to the Quinn children without their knowledge, their asking for it, or benefiting from it, FOR THE PURPOSE OF MARKET MANIPULATION.
THESE LOANS WERE NOT ADVANCED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE QUINN FAMILY BUT INSTEAD FOR THE BENEFIT OF A BANK ON THE BRINK, AND THE ENSUING CONSEQUENCES HAS LEFT THE BORDER COMMUNITIES, THE TAXPAYERS, QUINN GROUP WORKERS AND THOSE DEPENDENT ON THE SURVIVAL OF THE COMPANY, IN A STATE OF DISBELIEF AND DISARRAY.
IS ANGLO NOW LOOKING FOR ANOTHER FALL GUY TO ONCE AGAIN DEFLECT FROM THEIR ILLEGAL TAKEOVER?
The Quinn Group should never have been seized. This week marks the beginning of a new realization by all and sundry, with the charging of 4 Anglo executives for conspiring to mislead investors, and the prospect of most of the Quinn Group of companies being put back in the hands of a team who have the vastly experienced former Management Team on board. Lets hope that the Glass jobs can be saved!
