Are Some Men Above The Law?
Over the past three years the Dublin media have shown little respect for the people of Ireland and especially the border region of Ballyconnell and Derrylin, They have failed to inform their readers of the true facts of the Quinn story. Over and over they have vilified Sean Quinn and his family, acting as we have said many a time "poodles to men in power" who can do what they want knowing the media and higher authorities will turns a blind eye.
Is it any wonder now that the sales of daily and weekly newspaper have dropped to an all-time low. In a world where information is available to all at the touch of a button the true facts are easy to find. The propaganda machine that was so common to the old world is now a thing of the past you may think. That is what most people still believe but still today the Powers That Be still cling to that power and ensure that when they do a wrong and are found out, they quickly put the wheels in motion to make sure the true facts never see the light of day and media editors are told on the QT that it’s not in the country’s best interest to write the full facts.
Why are journalists still not telling the full story of the Quinn case many are asking? The simple reason is this:-
a) They are not allowed to do so by their editors.
b) They all have well paid jobs and will not rock the boat and they would be ostracized by their colleagues and the newspapers owners.
Now when it comes to the editors of daily newspapers they are controlled by the big newspaper moguls with other vested interests. These moguls are involved in all manner of businesses and are political connected at the hip and toe the line of their political masters otherwise they don’t get the fat contracts that every few years come on the market.
Even in the Dublin media these days a few are daring to write the true facts about Quinn's and Anglo. Nevertheless they still are not giving full freedom of speech but the smart one’s know the true facts and they send us information which we would never really know about without their help, such a “press releases and clandestine court cases”. For this we thank them.
This week one such brave journalist informed us of a strange case on the 1st of September in Dublin attended by very few people. In court cases where the Quinn's are involved the court house is usually full to capacity with the media hoping to bring news of big bad Sean Quinn and Family.
Not so this time. This time it was Anglo (now renamed IRBC) before the judge. It appears theat Quinn Solicitors put in a discovery to Anglo for certain files to be handed over and Anglo told the Judge they were not able to deliver these documents.
They gave no real reason to the judge who was not very impressed with the Anglo legal team and “Expressed Disappointment”. Anglo had failed to obey the laws of the court. She then gave them until the end of September to deliver these documents.

A number of questions now come to mind why
Anglo did not obey the court order.
a)What is in these documents they don’t
want the public to know about?
c)Perhaps both?
Where were the media in this case. Why was it never mentioned in any newspaper or media outlet such important news. Anglo in contempt of court and got away with it.
Let us go back at look at how Sean Quinn Sr, Sean Quinn Jr and Peter Quinn Jr were treated by the same Anglo when they were accused in a court room by Anglo for not helping them in their discovery requests to get back assets from around the world.
Even though the Quinn family had written numerous letters to Anglo saying they would do everything the court ordered to help get these properties back. That offer was refused by Anglo and what would Anglo do? Go and tell a pack of lies in a Irish courtroom. They were responsible for a father and son going to jail for a trumped up contempt of court and Peter Quinn Jr was right to stay North of the border as he knew full well he would get no justice once Anglo was involved.
a) Anglo then hired a Russian firm which some say had mafia connections and paid them 50 million up front to get back property in Russia and the Ukraine. Perhaps they even paid the full 150 million but we will never know the full facts and what did they get in return. Nothing, and the money is now gone forever that they handed over.
b) Only this year Anglo paid criminals for information to discredit the Quinn Family and a prominent business man in the Ballyconnell area. Three Hundred Million in Gold bought by the Quinns in secret was the heading of all the big newspapers. Secret emails sent from email addresses in London and where did this all lead too. Nothing. A few months later Anglo had to admit that all this was fiction. But we never seen the same Big Headline, this time it was barely mentioned and brushed over quietly. Anglo was once again in the world of make believe that this would all go away. Nevertheless they had tried to tarnish the Quinn Family once again and a respectable business man in a court room which no one knew was going to take place. Anglo made sure certain of its poodle journalist's were there to spread the now gutter headlines that we are so used to hearing about.
c) Kieran Wallace the Special Liquidator of Anglo was behind all this and we must not forget that Mr Wallace is also the Shared Receiver of the Quinn Group. Is this not a Conflict of Interest?
d) Who is regulating this guy and his carry on and where is our present Attorney General in all this. Why is she allowing Kieran Wallace to go to the high court anytime he feels like it and tell a pack of lies to the court and get away with it? What is he not obeying court orders on discovery issues? Why is the Attorney General not stepping in and doing something about this? Why is the Government doing nothing about his Conflict of Interest?
e) If the Quinn’s turned up in court and did the same as Anglo they would be held for contempt of court. They are usually given a few weeks at most to adhere to discoveries and here is Anglo blatantly refusing to hand over documents to a High Court Judge.
Is Kieran Wallace above the Law?
The next man is Paul Gallagher heading up the Anglo legal team and defending the undependable.
We must not forget that Mr Gallagher was the Irish Attorney General at the time of the Anglo collapse and he was well aware of what was happening when Anglo was handing out millions to the Quinn Family to prop up Anglo shares and lend to the Maple Ten. Now we find him in court every few days during the legal year on behalf of Anglo, 'That’s right defending them' knowing full well the true facts how he, the Regulator, Central Bank and Dept of Finance shafted the Quinn Group of companies, Sean Quinn and family and squandered millions upon millions of tax payers money (and still doing it) with nothing in return. Its like someone committing a murder and then being allowed to be the Judge in the case.
Once again we ask why is the present Attorney General allowing Mr Gallagher to do what he is doing on behalf of Anglo when he clearly has a Conflict of Interest.
What type of country are we living in when these two men can do what they want and no one seems to care what they do or say, or how much money they spend. Is the present Attorney General once again turning a blind eye to all this? Is the Government turning a blind eye as well?Is Paul Gallagher above the Law?
Truth has strange ways of showing it's head and many of our renowned judges have reservations about what The Dept of Finance, the Regulator, Central Bank and Anglo were up to.

Dissenting, Mr Justice Adrian Hardiman said there was no direct evidence to support the finding of contempt against Quinn Jnr and "no legally recognisable basis" for granting a request by Irish Bank Resolution Corporation to jail him so as to put pressure on his father to reverse asset-stripping measures.

A Commercial Court judge has said that it would be contrary to public policy for the Quinn family to be prevented from pleading that loans by Anglo Irish Bank to businessman Sean Quinn to prop up the bank’s share price were illegal and had defrauded the market of “gigantic sums”.

We all can read what they have said in an open court room about the way Anglo was conducting its business. Mr Nolan refused to jail two former employers of Anglo because they were just scapegoats for higher authorities such as the Regulator and Dept of Finance.
We call upon the Attorney General Maura Healey to urgently review Mr Wallace and Mr Gallagher’s position as they have a serious Conflict of Interest.
We call upon the Government of Ireland to look into this as a matter of urgency.
We call upon all elected TD’s, Senators and Councillors to now ask the hard questions and seek the Truth.
Who are these two men answerable to and if they really are answerable to anyone why is this Conflict of Interest allowed to continue?
