An Taoiseach,
With regard to the email that I forwarded to you on 2nd Dec and you in turn sent to Michael Noonan, I now attach his response which is extraordinary and obnoxious in the extreme coming from a Minster in a Government who made a firm commitment to the people of Ireland that they would be honest and transparent with the electorate and promised over and over again to tell the truth.
The downright refusal to provide answers to very straight forward questions speaks volumes and to my regret his actions have ensured that you will also be investigated.
I welcome the fact that you will be conducting an appraisal of your Ministers this month and in this regard, given that M Noonan lied to the population of Ireland on 14th April about the situation with the bondholders in the Anglo deal on Quinn, a lie that will be proven, I trust that you will be dealing with his role in this matter and addressing it appropriately and in a transparent manner.
A meeting was called last night to regroup and organize mass protests and public meetings to highlight the fact that the electorate are being played for fools and that not one cent will be recouped for the taxpayer under the strategy facilitated by this Government. I must say that I was very surprised by the fury vented at this Government and in particular Michael Noonan, by a number of people who have always been staunch Fine Gael supporters and campaign workers. The Quinn Group employees who have been sacked inappropriately since Anglo took over, deserve to have their story told also.
Finally, the fact that Ivan Yates has stated publicly that he will go to Wales to file for bankruptcy if the rules are not changed here, is staggering given the fact that he never worked in Wales and yet Sean Quinn who worked for 4 decades in Northern Ireland is having his bankruptcy challenged for no reason other than to try every trick in the book to ensure that he us unable to create the thousands of jobs in the border area that were at an advanced stage prior to the illegal and invalid seizing of the Quinn Group.
The unanimous verdict at tonight's meeting was that this was a spiteful and vindictive assault on ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE BORDER COUNTIES and one that is not going to be accepted without accountability being demanded from those who facilitated this entire scandal.
I await your response about what you propose to do about a Minister for Finance who lied to over 4 million Irish people and blatantly refused to answer legitimate and pertinent questions that effect every Irish Citizen.
Is Mise,
