Response from Noonan

Our Ref: 11/0057/MF

16 December 2011

Dear ..............................

The Minister for Finance, Mr Michael Noonan TD, has asked me to reply to your email of 2 December 2011 regarding a document to be used as evidence in an official complaint to Gardai under the Criminal Justice Act in relation to the reporting of white collar crime, which was forwarded to this Department by the Office of the Taoiseach.

The Minister has noted the contents of your email. It is important to note that while various assertions are made over the course of your email, the absence of a denial of those assertions in this response should not be taken as an acceptance that those assertions are correct. You indicate that you have knowledge of some criminal activity. I would urge you to report any knowledge of criminal activity to An Garda Síochána.

The Minister has nothing further to add to his previous correspondence with you in relation to Quinn Insurance and the broader Quinn group.

Yours sincerely

Note the sentence in Noonan's reply "THE ABSENCE OF A DENIAL OF THOSE ASSERTIONS IN THIS RESPONSESHOULD NOT BE TAKEN AS AN ACCEPTANCE THAT THOSE ASSERTIONS ARE CORRECT"
This sentence says it all. If M Noonan has nothing to hide, he would have no difficulty in denying this serious allegation. Why has he not done so?

The answer is simple-he cannot, because he did mislead the people of Ireland by saying that the bondholders had taken a hit in the region of 50%, when we now know that they took no hit atall. Michael Noonan-the truth will catch you and all those who are culpable in this farce, out.
