With it being reported yesterday that Quinn Group chairman Paul O’Brien already had a close personal relationship with Lagan cement chairman, Kevin Lagan, prior to having provided him with large amounts of commercially sensitive material we thought we’d post this rather appropriate picture sent in to us of Mr O’Brien.
While we would hope Mr O’Brien will face criminal proceedings for this outrageous abuse of power against the company he is paid so well to run, it’s reasonable to predict he won’t face any repercussions for this at all.
On the contrary, as it stands, Paul O’Brien will continue to “run” the company from afar, allowing wait times for orders to extend further throughout the company, allowing spoilage rates on bottles to balloon even further and allowing facilities to fall further into disrepair in order to bolster the short term numbers for the company.
