An angry community is a dangerous community.

No quinn no glass plan no jobs end of give it back to the man that built fermanagh

In light of the outrage and disgust that is evident in our communities tonight, we appeal for calm heads and for people to not do anything rash. Yes, it is definitely time for each and every worker, family member and anyone with a sense of justice or regard for this region and its future, to take action to express their strong objection to this latest betrayal and that must be done peacefully but with determination. It is past the time of sitting on the fence. Workers who supported Quinn in the past and were threatened and sacked by the passing caretakers, have now been reinstated and are highly respected members of staff. Everyone now knows that such threats to silence workers into submission as in the case of the one day stoppage that was organized in the past, will no longer work. People are not fools and they know who looks after them. Many tonight want to bring the factory to a standstill. We will keep you posted and will do all in our power to answer all your calls and emails.

James Nugent So,so sad, if this is allowed happen. What is Adrian Curry doing ? How can they sell to Foreigners who have no allegiance to the local area , why I

Mary Jones There is shock in the area at this news; all in glass were thinking, hoping that a local consortium would run glass. We are well aware of the relief, satisfaction and contentment of the workers under QBRC currently. They now go happily to work. Oh how we wish for the same in Glass!

Ellen Kane Wishing is no good, Mary. What are you going to do to make sure a local group run glass? People must let their voices be heard.

Noel Moss No quinn no glass plan no jobs end of give it back to the man that built fermanagh

Tom Mc Manus As I have stated before its up to glass workers to take action to save their jobs sit on the fence an u all will be out of a job an soon its up to you now we as a community will support yous

Pius O'Connell I already wrote a comment under the photo of the sign earlier in the evening but I wish to add now that I think it is time Glass workers got out to protest; I agree with Tom--- there would be loads of community support. It is now or never! The factory work will go elsewhere.

Chris Mc Cormack Does our vote mean nothing ?? We all were asked to make our X . Well all our X should mean something well if if doesn't u to might be looking for new jobs. Listen to the people
